Barbies, my little ponies, mr squiggle pens, dress ups in the backyard and dancing around with flowers in your hair. If only life could stay as this neon wonderland. Looking like a Lisa Frank sticker book all day everyday. Summer time all year round. These were the days.. when we were young.

Karl Lagerfeld's latest Chanel 2012-2013 Cruise collection. With Versailles's legendary garden fountains on blast, pastel-bob-topped models. Think modern Marie Antoinette, weekend at the beach during the season of the softest Spring. She's dustiest pinks, blues, and greens. This pretty palette was applied to rich brocade-infused one-piece swimsuits, floral-sleeve frocks, gold-embroidered denim vests, and sheer ruffled skirts. It was a finest of garden tea parties. 

Who are you in love with?

A lost soul blowing in the wind. Because your young and youthful years will be wasted away by his company. If you had a love, then your soul has a bleeding hole.. And that inner space is filled with lurking emptiness that reoccurs when you least expect it... you can not eat, you can not sleep.. the air feels so thick that you can hardly breath. In your life you find temporary people to fill this space... once upon a day you will be awakened to an everlasting love... with it you will have the grandest sense of serenity. He was the world. But now he's just my past.

I suddenly want these quite terribly. 

dazed + confused

I watched 'dazed and confused' last night. It made me realise how much I wish I was born in the 70's. It's about the last day of school at a high school in a small town in Austin, Texas in 1976. The time when the radio actually played great tunes and even the jocks were stoners. The upperclassmen are hazing the incoming freshmen, and everyone is trying to get stoned, drunk, or laid at the moontower.. I'd been wanting to see it for a while and tom finally announced that he had it on his hard drive. My favourite line from the film was "That's what I love about these high school girls, man. I get older, they stay the same age."

such an inspiring shoot.. 

blues.

Here are some friendly and unfamiliar heads from Blues Festival in Byron Bay. I met in particular a very well mannered stranger, he was dressed quite outrageously.. he got my attention. He liked my outfit. I didn't get a photo of him.. but he spoke words of the good old 90's days when musicians played late nights drinking bottles of whiskey and smoking lots of Camel cigarettes. Its the feeling of a synthetic high, like driving down the freeway with your babe draped around you and the stereo on full blast. When the universe presents the rustic voices of the underground, guitars that blast out power cords, pick out chiming riffs, buzz with fuzztone and squeal in feedback, you listen. Lyrical ballads that develop as a reflection on social and economical strains. This was the nineties but what about today?? Will the distinguished sound continue. Will the underground circuit filled with different scenes in various parts live on?? Maybe it has... but maybe it has not.
